Welcome to the Presence in Action Home Page!

This website is part of an ongoing project, originally funded by the European Union, dedicated to greater freedom, understanding, compassion and appreciation between women and men, whatever their race, culture, sexual orientation or spiritual path.

We offer trainings, workshops and seminars in the UK and in Germany. Our trainings are constantly evolving; each group brings new insights and inspiration that we try to incorporate into our work. A group of trainers from the UK, Poland, Germany and Spain, who have been working together on this topic together for two years, have all contributed to its development. The workshops on this website are facilitated by Romeck van Zeijl, sometimes with a female co-trainer.

Our workshops are mainly experiential – that is, we do not offer a book of rules, nor do we try to tell anyone how to be a man or a woman. What we love to do is to create a safe space with clear structures and exercises that enable and empower men and women to relate more deeply, to relish their own and each other's company, and to go beyond limiting beliefs that keep us trapped in often painful patterns of behaviour. These patterns, we believe, are based on centuries of conditioning about male and female roles that we all, without exception, carry with us in our souls. Witnessing each other in examining these roles, and the way they are rooted in our individual life stories, invariably brings release, freedom and mutual respect.

I like to think of our workshops as a weaving together of several strands. Each man or woman, straight or gay, connects these strands with their own life experience and weaves their own unique tapestry, in order to create the relationship-adventure they wish for in their life. Each woman or man who has the courage to do this is a pioneer in their own right!

Some of those strands focus on improving actual relating skills. The most basic skill, for us, consists of the ability to be Present, in and as our bodies, and to feel ourselves in the interaction. To make this possible, we get you to move – we have put together an extensive menu of playful interactions through movement and dance, to enable you to study what exactly happens inside you when you relate to the opposite sex. We guarantee that you will surprise yourself!

Other strands of the tapestry include working in the safety of separate Gender groups, and bringing the groups together to create a sacred space for dialogue. We also work with creative exploration, guided meditation and a powerful process called Heart Dialogue. No previous experience is required for any of this!

We aim to create an atmosphere of fun, honesty and mutual respect. No matter who you are or what your background is, if you are genuinely interested, we are confident that you will find our workshops nourishing, inspiring and, we hope, transformative.
